Hi there!
I’m Kara, a former elementary teacher, mom of four, and children’s book author who believes that the best learning happens through play, connection, and meaningful moments.
Read to Learn Kids was created to help young children build a strong foundation in reading, writing, and confidence through hands-on activities, simple routines, and intentional learning experiences. Everything I create is designed to feel doable for families and educators, while still being purposeful and engaging for children.
As a teacher and a mom, I know how important it is to make learning feel fun and pressure-free. My goal is to help children fall in love with learning, believe in their abilities, and begin writing their own stories, one small moment at a time.

Learning through play
Read to Learn Kids is built on the belief that young children learn best through hands-on experiences, movement, and meaningful moments. Learning doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or rigid. Through play-based activities and intentional design, children are encouraged to explore, create, and grow while building strong early literacy skills.
How it works
The Read to Learn Kids curriculum is play-based, developmentally appropriate, and easy to use at home or in the classroom. Lessons focus on early reading, writing, fine motor skills, and confidence building through simple routines and engaging activities that fit naturally into everyday life.
